Girls Inc. of Omaha

To Inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

About us:

Founded in 1975, Girls Incorporated of Omaha annually serves more than 1,000 girls in two centers in North and South Omaha.

We believe that it is the Girls Inc. Experience that makes a difference for girls. The Girls Inc. Experience consists of people, an environment, and programming that, together, empower girls to succeed. Trained staff and volunteers build lasting, mentoring relationships in girls-only spaces that are physically and emotionally safe and where girls find a sisterhood of support with shared drive, mutual respect, and high expectations. Hands-on, research-based programs provide girls with the skills and knowledge to set goals, overcome obstacles, and improve academic performance.

Programs include: art, crafts, homework help, fitness, nutrition, healthy cooking, gardening, recreation, STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math), robotics, coding, literacy, competetive sports, travel opportunities, advocacy, leadership, life skills, job prep, college prep, career exploration, financial literacy, media literacy, and more.

In addition to the programs offered, Girls Incorporated of Omaha offers transportation to our centers after school each day, healthy meals and snacks, access to technology, and counseling services. There is a UNMC/Nebraska Medicine clinic located in our North Omaha Katherine Fletcher Center.
