Financial Service Specialist (Personal Banker/New Accounts/Teller)
Hiring Bonus - $500 paid at 6 months of employment
Provide excellent First Standards service at all times. Open new accounts (to include savings, checking, etc.), verify and process alterations to existing accounts, sell other credit union services, answer member questions, and resolve related account problems. Process member transactions on the teller station or at the drive-through. The position requires a thorough knowledge of all types of account ownership, account classifications, as well as a broad knowledge of all credit union services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
The depth and breadth of know-how to perform essential duties and functions of the position. The level of compliance with degree, certification, and training requirements. Understanding of how individual job performance furthers organizational objectives. Willingness to update and expand skills, knowledge, and training.
The degree to which the employee has knowledge of and complies with organizational policies.
The level of ability to perform work assignments free from mistakes or errors.
The degree to which established sales goals are met.
FNCU FIRST STANDARDS:
The level of commitment to the credit union service standards, creed, and 11 commandments.
Knowledge and Skills:
One to three years of similar or related experience.
A high school education or GED.
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Able to operate a ten-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
