The Sr. Engineer, FN Technology Solutions is responsible for a multitude of technologies related to networking. These accountabilities may include routing, load balancing, firewalls and standard protocols. This role works directly with implementations and new projects.

Overview

The Sr. Windows  Engineer, FN Technology solutions ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support the customer systems. The role is accountable to apply proven communication, analytical, project management and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of FNTS to its customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshooting of enterprise technologies in a highly redundant environment
  • Utilize experience with multiple OS variants to perform systems administration and troubleshooting, monitoring, system configuration, tuning & optimization, performance analysis, backups and recovery
  • Address customer issues related to FNTS's cloud services, hosted solutions, and managed services
  • Maintain customer environments including Windows system patching utilizing patching tools, schedules, and automation
  • Serve as an engineering escalation resource for issues and emergencies that arise
  • Implement and maintain assigned monitoring responsibilities for infrastructure to provide relevant statistics to management on performance/utilization of production environment
  • Ensure production 24/7/365 availability
  • Design, implementation, and administration of:
    • Windows and Linux (RedHat) servers
    • Azure (PaaS, SaaS)
    • Patching toolsets
    • Collaboration tools

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 3-5  years IT Infrastructure background related to cloud, virtualization, networking, and security.
  • Windows technologies: Server (Microsoft supported versions), Active Directory, SQL Server, PowerShell and Ivanti
  • Working knowledge of the AWS and Azure cloud solutions and how to connect to them.
  • Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team environment. 
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. 
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting instincts and organizational skills


 

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with PCI compliance a plus.
  • Knowledge of, but not required, Cisco UCS server platform environment and management, IMC central, UCS Manager\Director, and EMC and Storage
  • Advances experience in at least two of the following items: Windows Server, Solaris, Linux, VMware, Citrix, PowerShell, Exchange.
  • Current MCSE/MCP Certification preferred or similar certification
