We have an opening for a Registered Nurse who would be involved with coordinating employee health/vaccination, TB surveillance and response to exposures according to OSHA, CDC and applicable regulatory agency requirements.
Coordinates influenza vaccine program.
Provides orientation and annual refresher for staff on infection control and blood borne pathogen training.
Assists nursing and medical staff in instruction of patients/families regarding isolation and infectious disease.
Completes mandatory reporting of infection to internal committees and external agencies.
Assists in policy review and development.
- Valid New Mexico or Compact State Registered Nurse License required
- ADN or BSN degree
- Five (5) years nursing experience
- Infection Control experience preferred
- APIC Certification
- Strong computer/data management skills; comfortable working with data from the medical records systems and excel programs.
- Active participant in the Antimicrobial Stewardship program
