Immediate Supervisor: ProActive Customer Service Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt


Position will work several weekday shifts of 4pm-8pm and one weekend shift of 8 am-12 pm Saturday or 1-5 pm Sunday

DEPARTMENT FUNCTION/JOB OVERVIEW

Provides the highest quality, safe care to the children of members, non-members, and guests. Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(INFORMATION)
  1. Greet each parent and child in a friendly and courteous manner.
  2. Supervise and entertain all children left in the Play Center area in the safest manner and in compliance with the highest standard of care.
  3. Enforce the child check in/out process, assuring this is done each time a child enters or leaves the Play Center.
  4. Enforce the policies and procedures of the Play Center including the enforcement of the 2-hour time limit for children left in this area.
  5. Ensure all toys and equipment function properly and do not present safety hazards to children.
  6. Ensure all toys and bedding are clean and sanitary; disinfect all surfaces and toys as needed.
  7. Remove broken toys, equipment, or furniture presenting an actual or potential hazard to children.
  8. Complete necessary paperwork to ensure cash and charge transactions are promptly and accurately entered into the Point of Sale (POS) machine.
  9. Responsible to help enforce parents who have left children in the Play Center do not leave the premises of the Club.
  10. Follow and enforce infant reservation policies and procedures.
  11. Respond promptly to any request for information from the Customer Service Supervisor.
  12. Check individual mailbox regularly for information relevant to the Play Center or Club programs, changes in standards of care, or specialized information affecting the safety of children (including medical information).
  13. Assists in other areas of the Club as needed.

  1. Follows instruction from supervisor to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals within the department as well as within the facility.
(THINGS)
  1. Maintain and ensure a safe environment for the department. Handles and operates all necessary equipment and performs required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Must have constant near visual acuity with ordinary hearing and speaking skills. Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds with frequent lift and carry of 35 pounds. Must tolerate frequent sitting and standing throughout the work shift. Requires frequent bending and stooping. Must tolerate occasional to frequent horizontal reaching with both arms. Frequent grasping of both hands requiring normal grip strength based on national averages. May be exposed to biohazardous materials. May be exposed to blood and body fluids.


QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training and/or Experience)

High school diploma or equivalency required. Any combination of training and experience that will allow the incumbent to perform stated work requirements. Requires CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire and recertification prior to expiration according to certifying agency requirements. Patience in handling children age 6 weeks to 12 years of age and ability to work with groups is necessary. 18 years of age or older preferred.
