GENERAL REQUISITION INFORMATION

Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated.

Position Summary
PART-TIME TEMPORARY/CASUAL

Provide intermittent coverage for Speech Pathology department in acute care setting. Provide diagnosis and treatment to individuals with speech, language, voice, or swallowing disorders. Provide training about Speech Pathology to other healthcare providers as appropriate. May be asked to provide weekend and/or holiday coverage for inpatients. May also have opportunities to provide coverage for outpatients, e.g., Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
