A Brief Summary of This Position:
This individual contributor position is responsible for all the planning of logistics, management of carrier equipment associated with transportation activity for Shared Services Logistics.Â This position works in a team setting with the other coordinators and is responsible for assisting with the daily duties of shipments for Valmont Industries. This includes the process of assigning and releasing trailers, and assistance for responsibility of inbound shipments, rail shipments, and communication with carriers, customers, dealers, and Valmont personnel.Â Incumbent will also be responsible for execution of the route guide established by the transportation procurement team.Â To be aware of the DOT Compliance programs to assure accountability, safety, and compliance with the rules of the U.S. Department of Transportation â?? Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and must be available for special assignments as directed by the Senior Logistics Operations Manager.

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Incumbent must be able to work in an office setting.Â This position may require the incumbent to work outside during all seasons of the year, in various manufacturing and storage areas, as well as office environments.Â As a result, the position may require walking, standing, lifting, and stooping. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. Minimal travel may be required within domestic U.S. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests.
