Description

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, selling advertising solutions, and helping local businesses grow through the power of radio and digital media.  The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission structure,

Job Duties

  • Prospect, identify and contact potential new advertisers through cold calls, networking and community engagement.  
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by understanding their business needs and tailored advertising solutions.  
  • Create and present customized sales proposals that combine radio stops, sponsorships and digital packages.  
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.  
  • Accurately track sales activities, forecasts, and client communications in the CRM system.  
  • Produce on-air messages that comply with all FCC regulations for non-commercial radio.  
  • Collaborate with programming and production teams to ensure advertising campaigns are delivered on time and to client expectations.  
  • Represent the station at promotional events, community functions and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Prior sales experience (media, advertising, or broadcasting preferred but not required), with an understanding of and enthusiasm for the non-profit space.  
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.  
  • Creative thinking and ability to develop unique campaigns.  
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.  
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.  
  • Knowledge of local businesses and community networks is a plus.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.  
  • Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs
  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
