Shipping and Receiving Clerk 3rd shift

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments and verify products against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Inspect incoming freight for damages, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
• Process outbound shipments, including preparing shipping documents and scheduling carriers.
• Enter receiving and shipping information into warehouse management systems and spreadsheets.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Organize and stage product for shipment.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and filed properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and warehouse systems).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in warehouse and refrigerated environments as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WMS or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control and freight documentation.
• Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
