Initially in the internship, a high focus is placed on training and development. In the sales internship, the goal is for the intern to gather listings and sell advertisements from our customers in the variety of industries served by Sandhills Global, including the truck and trailer industry. The intern will learn about the company products and business objectives as well as shadow other members of the department to gain exposure to sales strategies. The sales process is quick - many interns see success and commission their first week post-training!

The Intern will also become responsible for acquiring new and existing accounts as well as servicing current customers. The intern will learn and apply different sales techniques as well as develop advertisements for the customer. Researching prospective advertisers, placing sales orders and maintaining sales records will be part of the internship as well as collecting payment. Assume other duties as assigned.
